41st Annual Margaret Thompson Historical Essay Contest

2025 Theme:  "Rooted in Time - Journey Through Hidden Villa"

The Los Altos Historical Commission and the Los Altos History Museum are co-sponsoring the 41st annual Margaret Thompson Historical Essay Contest, open to third- through sixth-graders who live in the area and/or attend local schools.

Visit the Los Altos History Museum's current exhibit "Rooted in Time - Journey Through Hidden Villa." Explore the rich history of Hidden Villa, tracing its roots from its earliest inhabitants to its historic landmarks, and the people who brought it to life. A century later, Frank and Josephine Duveneck left a lasting legacy on this land. Their spirit and ambitious mission continue through the ongoing work of the Hidden Villa Trust.
