When you ask for a white board and expo markers for Christmas at the age of 7, it’s safe to say you are on your way to becoming a teacher! I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, but I really cultivated my love for teaching when I was in high school and teaching dance classes after school. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2012 with a B.A. in Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. Prior to joining the amazing LASD family, I taught for a few years in Santa Clara, and spent time time teaching in Arlington, Virginia, and in Washington D.C. as well. Throughout my teaching career for far, I have experience teaching kindergarten, first, and second grade. I love this age group because it is amazing to see the growth they make in such a short time, and they make me laugh everyday! When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy hiking and traveling with my husband, spending time with my friends, and cooking. Over the summers, I look forward to going back to Michigan to visit my friends and family and going to a baseball game!
