Teaching isn’t my job, it’s my passion. But, I didn’t find my passion until after I graduated college with a BS in Business Administration from the University of LaVerne. I was already a mother of two small children, and I decided to start a co-op preschool with a few of my neighbors. That is when the spark hit me, and here I am 20+ years later still pursuing my passion and loving it. I continued on with my education gaining my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Chapman University and then a MA in Education with an emphasis in Reading from National University. I believe as educators we are lifelong learners and so my education continued with me earning my Administrative Service Credential just a few short years ago. It is important to me that my classroom learning environment promotes fun, growth, passion, a sense of family., and a love of learning. I have been an educator in different states, as well as in Australia, which has molded my beliefs in equity, celebrating diversity, and developing partnerships with families and the community. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my four children and two grandchildren, hanging out with my friends, playing with my dog and cat, biking, going to the beach, and traveling.
